Soil, water, and product analysis

The client needed soil analyses of post-crop harvesting of soils for microbial biomass and physical characteristics. They were comparing several field's farming processes.

  • Received 30+soil samples to be analyzed for microbial biomass, bacteria:fungi ratio, aggregate stability using a new smartphone app and field nitrate/nitrite using the nitrate quick test.

  • the entire set of analysis were also modified for increased soil moisture for microbial parameters.

  • This set of samples has been sampled and analyzed by IngenuityWorx for several years.

Proof of product efficacy
  • client had a new potential soil nutrient/amendment that needed initial proof of efficacy testing/analyses prior to committing to full scale program.

  • IngenuityWorx proposed a battery of test methods and bench testing to prove assumptions.

  • bench testing of soil additions and the effects on soil microbes, plant growth and soil chemistry were performed several times.

  • after initial testing results were confirmed, more detailed soil microbial DNA and chemical analysis were completed as well as new trial formulations.

  • This process took several months in total to perform and complete with interim reports and was very low cost and quickly responsive to changes in client focus.

Effect of nanobubble oxygen on wastewater
  • several clients in the wastewater field have inquired about the ability of nanobubble gases to improve the quality and lower the cost of their treatment processes. IngenuityWorx consults on a wide variety of nanobubble applications but can never find the right data to help clients understand how nanobubbles can help.

  • As an internal research or bench testing project IngenuityWorx undertook the testing and analysis on a synthetic wastewater stream. Synthetic wastewater was created and mixed in various combinations and strengths with nanobubble oxygen.

  • Traditional analyses characteristics were completed for pH, EC, ORP, DO and NO2/NO3 on the various treatment combinations. DO tracking for a week was also carried out in lieu of BOD analysis.

  • additional iterations with more variables and planned lab analysis is in progress and expected to be completed this fall. The initial data will help solidify the usefulness of nanobubble oxygen for aeration, oxidation, sludge reduction and possibly some new methods to transform traditional WWT.

  • Follow this website for updates and some data reports on the progress of this program.
